Who is Ram Lee?
Ram Lee started painting in his high school years, quickly getting better and more refined through each piece. He soon started working as an illustrator in several facets, but painted on-and-off through his 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. When he’s not painting, he’s running his tattoo shop or on the road at tattoo conventions, putting his 25 years of experience in the craft to work. Because of those conventions, fully booked tattooing schedule, and much needed family time, Lee’s been kept away from his painting for the better part of the last 8 years.
Lee loves his work at Traverse City Tattoo, however he views it as something he does for other people. His paintings and drawings come from his heart and his faith, which help him focus on his own heart. Ultimately, Lee chose to focus his paintings on fly fishing because of his love for the sport and river. His fishing time is his full-focus God time, and Lee pushes for it as often as he can.
